Thriller: File It Under Fear (ITV 2 Jun 1973, John Le Mesurier)

In File It Under Fear a killer is stalking the streets of a small English town, targetting young women walking home alone late at night, librarian Liz Morris is unconcerned about the attacks and turns amateur detective to try and solve the murders.

A classic episode of Thriller really, very strong plot, lots of well known faces and an exciting finale. The younger names in the cast, Maureen Lipman and Jan Francis were all pretty much unknowns at the time but of course all went on to have leading careers.
