60 Minutes

On Sunday March 10, 2024, at 8.00pm CBS will air the second episode of the evening of its iconic news program, “60 Minutes,” featuring three intriguing segments. In the first segment, reporter Jon Wertheim explores Fogo Island, a 90-square-mile piece of land off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada. Once decimated by the decline of cod fishing, an eighth-generation Fogo Islander with deep pockets has returned home with a plan to revitalize the community. Nathalie Sommer and Kaylee Tully are the producers responsible for this enlightening story.

The second segment titled “Caligula’s Gardens” delves into the recent excavation and display of Roman Emperor Caligula’s gardens. This discovery has prompted scholars to reevaluate their perceptions of Caligula’s character and challenge previous notions regarding his alleged cruelty and depravity. Anderson Cooper reports from Rome on this captivating archaeological find. The segment is produced by Andy Court.
