Five-time Emmy Award-nominated actor and producer Alan Cumming has signed a significant deal with NBCUniversal. The agreement provides Cumming with a first look at producing opportunities across the entire portfolio of NBCUniversal brands, encompassing both scripted and unscripted content.
Cumming is currently making waves as the host and producer of Peacock’s hit reality show, “The Traitors.” The series, a psychological adventure filled with intrigue and deceit, has become a cultural phenomenon. Its second season launch week ranked it as the #1 unscripted series across all streaming platforms in the US. It also dominated the Top 10 for overall minutes viewed and maintained its popularity for five weeks during its second season.
“The Traitors” has garnered critical acclaim, winning a 2023 Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program and receiving four 2024 Critics’ Choice Real TV Award wins. Cumming himself was recognized as Male Star of the Year and Best Show Host. The show challenges reality stars and famous faces to participate in a murder mystery game within the confines of a Scottish castle.
With this new deal, Cumming expands his relationship with NBCUniversal, offering him the opportunity to develop and produce a diverse range of content.
“The Traitors” is currently filming its third season in Scotland.
