Stan has announced the premiere of a new season of the US version of survival series Alone, dropping contestants into the harsh Arctic Circle. The season, the eleventh, will debut on Friday 12 July.
This season, 10 participants will brave the unforgiving wilderness of the Arctic, the most northern location in the series’ history. Armed with limited survival gear, they will navigate the dangers of the Mackenzie River Delta, including grizzly bears and wolves. The last person standing will take home a cash prize of $500,000 USD.
The show is self-documented by the contestants, who capture their experiences through personal action cameras, giving viewers a first-person perspective on the challenges they face.
Alone has gained a dedicated following since its premiere in 2015, spawning multiple spin-offs and international versions. Previous seasons have taken place in remote locations such as Argentina, British Columbia, and Mongolia.
