AMC Cancels ‘Parish’ After One Season

Parish AMC

AMC has cancelled the Giancarlo Esposito-led crime drama ‘Parish’ after a single season. The network praised the cast’s performances, particularly Esposito’s, but cited its inability to proceed with a second season. The first season remains available on AMC+.

Based on the 2014 Danny Brocklehurst and Jim Poyser UK series ‘The Driver’, ‘Parish’ starred Esposito as a driver entangled with a criminal organization following the murder of his son and the collapse of his business.

The cast also included Skeet Ulrich, Zackary Momoh, Paula Malcomson, Bonnie Mbuli, Ivan Mbakop, Arica Himmel, and Dax Rey. The cancellation marks another short-lived entry in AMC’s increasingly crowded drama lineup.
