American Sports Story continues its exploration of the Aaron Hernandez saga with it’s seventh episode, this week finding the troubled athlete seeking refuge and recovery in California.
Fearing for his life, Hernandez (Josh Rivera) undergoes surgery and attempts a fresh start, but his past and his growing paranoia prove inescapable.
Even amidst the sunny California landscape, the darkness closes in. This episode examines the psychological toll of Hernandez’s circumstances, portraying a man increasingly consumed by fear and suspicion. The series continues to offer a compelling, albeit sometimes unsettling, look at the intersection of sports, celebrity, and personal demons.
