Anthem Sports & Entertainment Acquires Canadian Broadcaster Hollywood Suite

Canadian TV News

Global media company Anthem Sports & Entertainment has aquired Canadian broadcaster Hollywood Suite. Hollywood Suite operates four linear TV channels and an On Demand service featuring films from the 70s through the 00s, all uncut and commercial-free.

Since its launch in 2011, Hollywood Suite has become the leading movie service in Canada, accessible to over 10 million homes through providers such as Rogers, Bell, and Amazon Prime Video.

This acquisition aligns with Anthem’s strategy to expand its cinematic content portfolio. Hollywood Suite’s focus on delivering a wide variety of films to both traditional and digital viewers complements Anthem’s existing networks, including Game TV, Fight Network, and U.S. film channel HDNET MOVIES.

The addition of Hollywood Suite strengthens Anthem’s position in the media industry, offering premium content to movie enthusiasts while supporting independent producers and the Canadian film industry.

Hollywood Suite President and Co-Founder David Kines will continue to lead the business, with the transaction pending regulatory approval by the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).
