Ellie Taylor and Liam Charles return as hosts for the ninth season of Bake Off: The Professionals, joined by world-class pâtissier experts Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden. This season premiere introduces a fresh batch of pastry chefs from various establishments across the UK as they showcase their skills in creating exquisite patisserie delights.
In the first episode, the teams face two challenging tasks set by the judges. For the secret challenge, the chefs must create 36 individual tarte aux fraise and one chocolate amenity without the aid of recipes. They need to rely on their patisserie instincts, knowledge, and teamwork to impress the judges. The pressure is on as they have only three and a half hours to complete this task.
For their second challenge, the teams take on a unique twist: a music-themed trompe-l’oeil showpiece with hidden pecan pies. It’s a test of their creativity and ability to master the art of illusion through their baking. The teams will need to elevate this classic American pie to new heights, presenting it in a way that deceives the eye and delights the judges.
