In the series premiere of Bargain Block New Orleans, real estate experts and longtime friends Keith and Evan take on their first New Orleans project: a pricey Seventh Ward double, or duplex, in need of major renovations. The property presents a host of challenges, including an uneven foundation, a terrible floor plan, and a shocking bee infestation.
Seeking advice from their friend and fellow real estate expert, Shea Hicks-Whitfield, the duo plans to add value to the property by building a second story, converting one side into a rental, and restoring the exterior’s historical charm.
With Shea’s guidance and their own expertise, Keith and Evan are determined to tackle the unique challenges of restoring abandoned homes in the richly historic city of New Orleans.
