BBC One presents a new episode of Bargain Hunt on Wednesday lunchtime, taking viewers to an antiques fair in Detling, Kent. Antiques expert Eric Knowles presents a mysterious item for fairgoers to ponder: an object crafted from silver, adorned with a mother-of-pearl handle, and featuring a sharp point at one end. But what could its purpose be?
In this episode, two teams, the Red Team and the Blue Team, embark on a quest to scour hundreds of stalls in search of three items each that they believe will turn a profit at auction. The Red Team comprises the married couple Vicky and John, guided by their expert, Catherine Southon. On the Blue Team, we have another couple, Sam and Kara, who are assisted by their expert, Mark Stacey.
The auction takes place in Portsmouth, where auctioneer Daniel Tricker steps up to the rostrum. Which team will emerge victorious, claiming the title of Bargain Hunt champions.
