CBS is giving thanks for 14 years of Blue Bloods this Thanksgiving weekend with a retrospective special, Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy. Airing Friday, November 29 at 9 PM ET/PT, just before the series finale, the special, hosted by Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner, offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the long-running police procedural.
The one-hour program will feature new interviews with the cast, reflecting on 14 seasons of Sunday dinners, crime-solving, and family dynamics. The cast shares some of their most memorable moments, a few Reagan family dinner table secrets, and probably some teary-eyed reminiscing.
The special will also incorporate archival Entertainment Tonight footage and, crucially for die-hard fans, a sneak peek at the Blue Bloods series finale, airing December 13. The retrospective will explore the show’s journey from its pilot episode to its current status – and to pay tribute to the show’s loyal viewership. Viewers can also expect xxclusive behind-the-scenes footage and cast reflections on filming in New York City.
For those who prefer their Thanksgiving leftovers on-demand, the special will be available on Paramount+ (with SHOWTIME) immediately following its broadcast, and for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the next day.
Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy airs Friday, November 29, 2024, from 9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT on CBS.
