On Friday’s “The Bold and the Beautiful” the spotlight shines on Luna’s continued, slightly unsettling infatuation with Bill. From behind bars, no less. Yes, our incarcerated villainess penned a heartfelt letter to Dollar Bill, proclaiming her undying – or at least still flickering – affection and declaring her “need” for him. One might think a prison sentence would offer a moment for self-reflection, but apparently, obsessing over unavailable men is Luna’s preferred form of rehabilitation.
Bill, however, seems less than receptive. After reading Luna’s missive, he sets it ablaze, perhaps signaling a desire to distance himself from her dramatic antics. Good for him.
Meanwhile, Poppy paid a visit to her wayward daughter in jail. Despite being rightfully horrified by Luna’s actions, maternal instincts prevailed, and Poppy affirmed her love. Of course, this display of affection might be misplaced. After Poppy’s departure, Luna flashes a rather sinister grin, suggesting that her manipulation tactics are far from over. Is she genuinely remorseful, or is this just another ploy in her twisted game?
Elsewhere in L.A., Steffy’s vendetta against Hope continues. Still fuming over Hope’s perceived slight against Finn (remember that kiss?), Steffy doubles down on her efforts to sabotage Hope’s fashion line. This naturally creates more friction with Carter and Zende, who find themselves caught in the crossfire of this endless Forrester/Logan feud. It’s all getting rather tiresome.
Adding fuel to the fire, Carter confronts Ridge about Steffy’s behavior, leading to a heated exchange that strains their friendship. Seriously, can’t these people just communicate like adults? And in a brief moment of supposed normalcy, Katie checks in on Bill, who expresses a desire to spend more time with Will. Will this newfound paternal instinct last? Only time – and the whims of the writers – will tell.
B&B airs weekdays on CBS.
