CBS News is going all-in for its 2024 election night coverage, offering a multimedia spectacle across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms. The network’s “America Decides: Election ‘24” coverage begins at 7:00 PM ET on CBS and CBS News 24/7, with Norah O’Donnell at the helm from the network’s New York headquarters.
O’Donnell will be joined by a familiar team of CBS News figures, including Margaret Brennan, John Dickerson, Gayle King, Cecilia Vega, Robert Costa, and Ed O’Keefe. Correspondents will be stationed at the Harris/Walz and Trump/Vance election headquarters, providing live updates from the field.
Beyond the technological bells and whistles, the network is highlighting its focus on data analysis and election integrity. Anthony Salvanto and Major Garrett will lead the data desk, dissecting the numbers and making projections, while Bill Whitaker and David Becker will oversee the “Democracy Desk,” concentrating on potential voter suppression and election interference.
In the days leading up to election night, CBS offers a variety of special programming, including extended editions of “CBS Mornings” and election-focused coverage on the 60 Minutes streaming channel. CBS News 24/7 will also commence streaming coverage at 4:00 PM ET, anchored by Vladimir Duthiers, Ed O’Keefe, and Lindsey Reiser.
CBS News “America Decides: Election ’24” is a production of CBS News and Stations.
