CBS is set to broadcast “An Oprah Special: The Presleys – Elvis, Lisa Marie and Riley” on Tuesday, October 8, from 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT. The exclusive primetime special features Oprah Winfrey in conversation with Riley Keough, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley, exploring her life, her mother Lisa Marie’s experiences, and the legacy of their famous family. The special will also be available on Paramount+.
Oprah Winfrey travels to the historic Graceland Mansion in Memphis, Tennessee, for an intimate discussion with Riley Keough. This marks Riley’s first in-depth interview since her mother’s unexpected passing in 2023. Before her death, Lisa Marie recorded stories for her memoir, “From Here to the Great Unknown,” which Riley co-wrote and will be released on October 8.
In this exclusive interview, Riley discusses the process of writing the memoir and shares personal memories of her mother. The special includes never-before-seen family photos, home videos, and selections from Lisa Marie’s personal audio recordings, featuring memories of her father, Elvis Presley. Riley, an Emmy-nominated actress and director, opens up about the challenges and pressures of being a Presley and her deep bond with her mother.
The memoir, which Oprah and Riley explore in detail, provides an intimate look into the lives of one of America’s most legendary families. It covers Lisa Marie’s childhood with Elvis, his sudden death, her teenage years, marriages, devotion to her children, and her struggle with addiction.
