Chef Alex Guarnaschelli Takes on America in a New Season of “Alex vs America”

Food Network’s “Alex vs America” returns with Chef Alex Guarnaschelli facing off against talented chefs from across the nation in intense culinary battles. Premiering Sunday, July 14, at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the season promises even more intense competitions and prestigious challengers.

Host Eric Adjepong invites three chefs who excel in specific culinary genres to battle it out in two challenging rounds, where anyone, even Alex, could be sent home. This season, the chefs ramp up the pressure with impressive credentials and extreme cuisines, putting their specialty skills to the ultimate test for the chance to win $15,000 and ultimate bragging rights.

The season premiere features an emotional showdown as Alex competes against her longtime friends and fellow Iron Chefs Michael Symon, Stephanie Izard, and Jose Garces. Throughout the season, Alex tackles a range of culinary challenges, including a risky rice battle and Japanese cuisine, a skillset outside her comfort zone.

Alex also faces off against fellow New York City restaurateurs and other elite chefs, including Esther Choi, Leah Cohen, Duff Goldman, and Antonia Lofaso. The panel of judges will also feature Simon Majumdar, Marcus Samuelsson, Jet Tila, Brooke Williamson, Michael Voltaggio, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Claudette Zepeda, among others.
