The Confidante, a psychological thriller inspired by true events, premieres on MAX on October 11, 2024. The four-part limited series follows Christelle “Chris” Blandin, a Parisian who becomes entangled with a group of survivors after the November 13, 2015 terrorist attacks.
Chris claims her best friend was critically injured at the Bataclan Theatre and swiftly integrates herself into the survivors’ community, eventually gaining a leading role in the association.
It’s not long though before doubts about Chris’s story begin to surface. Her narrative becomes inconsistent, raising suspicion among the real victims. The Confidante examines the fragile line between truth and deception, questioning the reliability of personal stories in the aftermath of tragedy.
The cast includes Alexis Manenti, Annabelle Lengronne, and Laure Calamy. The series is directed by Just Philippot and written by Alexandre Kauffmann, Fanny Burdino, Samuel Doux, and Jean-Baptiste Delafon.
Produced by June Films and Studiofact Stories, executive producers include Basile Lemaire, Ivan Sadik, Roxane Rouas-Rafowicz, and Jacques Aragones.
