Starting on Sunday 11th February 2024, an unsettling incident involving Simon Barlow sets in motion a chain of events that will leave fans gripped.

Simon wakes up after attending Bobby Crawford’s party with a pounding headache. As he struggles to recover from the previous night’s festivities, Simon secretly takes a swig of vodka, setting the stage for trouble ahead. Later, tasked with driving Nick Tilsley’s son Sam Blakeman to his chess competition, Simon loses control of the car and crashes into a road sign during an ill-fated bend. Panicked and realizing his mistake, Simon orders Sam out of the car and instructs him to run.

As tensions rise following the accident, Simon confesses to Leanne Battersby about damaging her car. However, when Leanne suggests reporting it to the police as per protocol, Simon shocks her by revealing that he was over the drink-drive limit at the time—a revelation that leaves her horrified.

Meanwhile, other storylines unfold throughout this eventful week. Daniel Osbourne is impressed with Lauren Bolton’s work and encourages her by stating she is ready to sit her GCSE exams; however, disappointment ensues when she learns about expensive exam registration fees. Bethany Platt faces relationship troubles when an article about Daniel, Daisy Midgeley, and Ryan Connor appears in Chit-Chat Magazine without their consent.
