Acorn TV presents a double dose of the British crime drama Missing, with seasons 1 and 2 available to stream from Monday October 14, 2024. The series stars Pauline Quirke as Detective Sergeant Mary Jane “MJ” Croft, who leads a dedicated team within a busy Missing Persons Unit.

Set in a fast-paced and under-resourced environment, the show follows DS MJ Croft and her colleagues as they tackle a range of challenging cases, aiming to solve disappearances, reunite families, and provide answers for those left behind.

Across the first two seasons, the team encounters some interesting cases. In one instance, they come across an autistic teenager found wandering alone by the roadside, prompting DS MJ Croft to initiate a missing person investigation. Another episode takes an emotional turn as MJ is unexpectedly reunited with her long-lost sister, Ellen, who she believed had perished in a fire years ago.
