ITV1 commemorates the 80th anniversary of D-Day with a special program, D-Day 80 at the Royal Albert Hall, hosted by Davina McCall. The program, airing on Sunday 9 June, presents a collection of letters and diary entries from this historic event, read by a variety of guests, accompanied by the renowned Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. The orchestra provides a powerful and emotional backdrop to the stories and experiences shared during the show.
Adding to the lineup of talented artists are Emeli Sandé, Lulu, and Katherine Jenkins, who grace the stage with performances. The cast of the World War II musical Operation Mincemeat also presents an exclusive performance.
