The semi-finals of Dancing with the Stars on Channel 7 and 7plus delivered a dramatic night, resulting in a triple elimination and narrowing the competition to five finalists: Lisa McCune, Ant Middleton, James Stewart, Nikki Osborne, and Samantha Jade.

The semi-final performances featured high-scoring routines and intense rivalry. Samantha Jade and Lisa McCune impressed the judges with their Foxtrot and Viennese Waltz, respectively, each earning 39 points. Nikki Osborne also stood out with her Quickstep, earning 34 points and showcasing her remarkable growth throughout the season.

Ant Middleton expressed his emotions through a contemporary routine, scoring 37 points, while James Stewart secured his spot with a Paso Doble, netting 35 points.

Unfortunately, Shane Crawford, Adam Dovile, and Ben Cousins could not advance to the final round. Crawford’s Quickstep earned 30 points, while Dovile’s Rumba impressed his partner, Jess Raffa, but a score of 28 was not enough. Ben Cousins, despite his Argentine Tango, received the night’s lowest score of 17 points, leading to his elimination.

The final head-to-head saw James Stewart claim the last spot in the Grand Finale with a Charleston performance.

The leaderboard for the semi-final reflected the tight competition:
