ABC News is gearing up for a political marathon, with blanket coverage of the 2024 election across its network, streaming, and digital platforms. With over 72 hours of planned programming, viewers can expect wall-to-wall analysis starting Monday, November 4th at 2 a.m. EST on ABC News Live, culminating in a network special, “Election Night 2024: Your Voice/Your Vote,” hosted by David Muir, beginning Tuesday, November 5th at 7 p.m. EST.
Muir will be joined by ABC’s main political team, including Linsey Davis, Martha Raddatz, Jonathan Karl, Mary Bruce, and Rachel Scott. Expect a blend of on-the-ground reporting from battleground states and both campaign headquarters, along with expert commentary from the likes of Donna Brazile, Chris Christie, and Reince Priebus. Meanwhile, a dedicated “Ballot Watch” desk, helmed by Pierre Thomas and Dan Abrams, will track election integrity issues.
ABC isn’t neglecting its other programs either. “This Week,” “Good Morning America,” “GMA3,” “The View,” and “Nightline” will all feature election-focused episodes. “Nightline,” for instance, will air a “Race to the White House” special on November 4th, examining key voter demographics and swing state concerns. Even “World News Now” and “Good Morning America First Look” will contribute to the coverage, picking up the baton in the wee hours.
ABC News Live’s streaming coverage will be equally comprehensive, with Diane Macedo and Kyra Philips anchoring throughout the day. The platform will also offer a pre-show before simulcasting the network’s evening coverage. Digital offerings include a live blog, interactive results maps, and real-time updates via the ABC News app. ABC News Radio will also broadcast live coverage, supplemented by special reports and podcast episodes addressing misinformation and election subversion.
ABC Owned Television Stations will complement the network’s coverage with market-specific reports, particularly from the battleground states of Pennsylvania and North Carolina. And for those curious about the next generation of voters, ABC News Live Social’s “Reel in the Vote” series will highlight Gen Z perspectives on the election.
