David Schwimmer stars in the latest installment of the “Goosebumps” anthology series, “Goosebumps: The Vanishing,” premiering January 10, 2025, on Disney+ and Hulu.
The series, based on R.L. Stine’s book series, follows twins Cece and Devin Brewer (Jayden Bartels and Sam McCarthy) as they spend the summer with their dad in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Their summer takes a dark turn when they stumble upon the mystery of four teenagers who vanished in 1994.
The twins, along with their friends Alex (Francesca Noel), CJ (Elijah M. Cooper), and Frankie (Galilea La Salvia), find themselves caught in a web of secrets as they investigate the disappearances. Schwimmer plays Anthony, and Ana Ortiz plays Jen, though the specifics of their roles remain undisclosed.
The series draws inspiration from classic “Goosebumps” books including “Stay Out of the Basement,” “The Haunted Car,” “Monster Blood,” and others. Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman developed the series, with Hilary Winston and Letterman serving as showrunners.
