“Dexter: Original Sin” Expands Main Cast with Four New Series Regulars

The forthcoming Paramount+ and Showtime prequel series “Dexter: Original Sin” has added four new actors to its main cast: James Martinez, Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, and Reno Wilson. The show explores the world of the popular “Dexter” series, which concluded in 2013.

James Martinez joins the cast as Detective Lopez, a seasoned and respected Miami PD detective known for his keen instincts and straightforward demeanor.

Christina Milian takes on the role of Katie Cutcher, a young and ambitious detective in Miami’s homicide department. Her character is driven by the desire to forge her path and step out of the shadow of her esteemed detective father.

Alex Shimizu portrays Henry, a charming and clever young man with a troubled past. Henry’s life intersects with Dexter’s in a significant and impactful way, leaving a lasting impression.

Rounding out the new cast is Reno Wilson, a veteran actor known for his roles in “Good Girls” and “The Cosby Show.” Wilson portrays Sgt. Jackie, a seasoned police officer with a unique and dark sense of humor. Sgt. Jackie shares a strong bond with Detective Lopez.

DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN is executive produced by Clyde Phillips and produced by SHOWTIME Studios and Counterpart Studios. Executive producers also include Scott Reynolds (Jessica Jones), Michael C. Hall (DEXTER), Mary Leah Sutton (Resident Evil), Tony Hernandez (Emily in Paris), and Lilly Burns (Russian Doll), with the series being produced by Robert Lloyd Lewis (The Lincoln Lawyer). Michael Lehmann (Heathers) serves as directing executive producer.
