On Thursday’s episode of Doctor Odyssey, the luxury cruise ship welcomes Plastic Surgery Week, bringing new faces and enhanced features that require the careful attention of Max (Joshua Jackson) and his small but mighty medical team.
Meanwhile, Captain Massey (Don Johnson) finds himself in a tricky situation when he becomes the focus of romantic attention from the owner’s wife.
The episode also features a guest appearance from Gina Gershon and the cast also includes Phillipa Soo as Avery Morgan, Sean Teale as Tristan Silva, Mikayla Soo-ni Campbell as Pippa and Hayley McLaughlin as Jessa.
Three episodes in and we are still none the wiser as to whether the show is more than a Love Boat rehash, theories are still swirling, COVID induced coma (a reveal in episode one said that Max was patient zero for covid in the US), a voyage to the afterlife or even a virtual reality experiment gone wrong are just some doing the rounds. Maybe this week’s episode will tell us more.
