On Sunday night true crime series, Evil Lives Here, presents a new episode titled “A Demon on Her Back,” examining the harrowing story of Kayla, a young woman who grew up in the shadow of her stepfather, Richard.
Kayla was always cautious around Richard, who instilled fear in the family through his violent tendencies and threats. He held Kayla’s mother captive in an abusive relationship, manipulating her with the threat of taking away her children.
Despite the danger, Kayla’s mother found the strength to escape Richard’s grasp. However, his retaliation was swift and brutal.
