In the Friday night episode of First Dates, Taiwo, a 28-year-old content creator, arrives at the restaurant donning a pink jacket and is soon joined by his date, 29-year-old Hemah, who is also a content creator. Hemah kicks things off by asking Taiwo to choose her drink, setting the tone for the rest of their engaging encounter.
Taiwo is clearly taken with Hemah’s looks and personality, but will Hemah feel the same way, especially after witnessing Taiwo’s unique dining etiquette of eating from his knife?
The episode also introduces us to Lindsey, a 40-year-old self-proclaimed ‘adventure mermaid’ who swims in seas and rivers to raise awareness for environmental issues. She is paired with Sicilian chef Stefano, who is on the lookout for someone ‘explosive’. Lindsey takes a bold step by ordering the spiciest dish on the menu, but will this be enough to leave a lasting impression on Stefano?
Bear, a DJ with a history of falling for straight women, is matched with Hollie, a feminine nanny. While Hollie is eager to settle down and get married, Bear prefers to spend her weekends partying. Will these two be able to find common ground and make their relationship work?
Plus there is the return of Shrish to the restaurant, hoping for a second chance at love with someone who shares his appreciation for a good drink. Enter James, who is more than ready for a tipple. Their date is filled with laughter, interesting conversations, and plenty of spicy margaritas.
