Paramount+ has unveiled the official trailer for the new UK original series, The Castaways. The show will be available to stream on Boxing Day.
Based on a best-selling novel, The Castaways follows sisters Lori and Erin as they embark on a dream vacation in Fiji. However, their trip takes a dark turn when a fight causes Erin to miss the flight to the tropical resort, and the plane carrying Lori fails to reach its destination.
The trailer hints at disaster and devastation as the survivors of the plane crash must navigate the harsh reality of fighting for survival on a deserted island. Meanwhile, Erin refuses to give up on her presumed-dead sister and is determined to uncover the truth behind the plane’s disappearance.
The series cast features Sheridan Smith as Lori, Celine Buckens as Erin, Brendan Cowell as pilot Mike Brass, Lasarus Ratuere as Felix Vatabua, Dominic Tighe as Daniel Eldridge, and Charlotte Vega as Amber Gordon.
The five-part series is produced and adapted by Clapperboard Studios and BlackBox Multimedia. The Castaways will be exclusively available on Paramount+ starting Boxing Day.
