“Frasier” Season Two: Release Date, Cast and What to Expect

Paramount+ has announced that its Emmy-nominated comedy series “Frasier” will return for a second season on Thursday, 19 September, with a double episode release.

Starring Kelsey Grammer, the new season will see the return of Dr. Frasier Crane to his radio roots in Seattle for an episode, with guest stars including Dan Butler, Edward Hibbert, and Harriet Sansom Harris reprising their roles from the original series.

The first season of “Frasier” received three Primetime Emmy nominations for outstanding production design, cinematography, and picture editing for a multi-camera comedy series.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience, the series is produced by CBS Studios and follows the life of Frasier Crane (Grammer) as he returns to Boston to face new challenges and pursue old dreams.

The second season cast includes Jack Cutmore-Scott as Frasier’s son, Freddy, and Nicholas Lyndhurst as Alan, Frasier’s old college friend turned university professor. Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salgueiro, and Anders Keith will also join the cast in supporting roles.

Peri Gilpin will return as a recurring guest star, reprising her iconic role as Roz Doyle, and other guest stars include Rachel Bloom, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Greer Grammer.

With a record-holding 37 Emmy wins and 107 nominations for the original series, “Frasier” is written by Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, who executive produce alongside Grammer, Tom Russo, and Jordan McMahon.

The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution outside of the Paramount+ markets, and the first season is currently available for streaming on the platform globally.
