The HISTORY channel heads into the world of notorious criminal organizations with the premiere of Gangland Chronicles. The first two episodes air back-to-back on Sunday, August 11, 2024, starting at 10:05 p.m.
Episode one, “The Gambino Family: The Gotti Years,” explores the story of John Gotti, a Capo from the Bronx, who challenges the greedy boss, Paul Castellano, leading to a turning point for the most prominent New York Italian Mafia family.
In the second episode, “The Sinaloa Cartel: The El Chapo Years,” the focus shifts to Sinaloa and its leader, El Chapo, as they pursue their goal of becoming the world’s largest drug trafficking organization. However, their ambitions are threatened by the Tijuana Cartel and the authorities in the US and Mexico.
Gangland Chronicles provides an exclusive window into the inner workings of some of the world’s most feared criminal groups, including their money-making schemes, turf wars, iconic hits, informants, and eventual federal takedowns.
