On Friday’s “General Hospital,” Heather Webber discovered that her son, Steven, had also been sprung from the pokey. A heartwarming mother-son BLT at Bobbie’s ensued, during which Heather pitched her grand plan for Steven to remain in Port Charles, conveniently close to her and grandson Ace. Steven, however, had other ideas, preferring the quiet anonymity of Sedona. The ensuing tug-of-war between family ties and fresh starts suggests this storyline has legs, or at least a few more therapy sessions.
Elsewhere in Port Charles, Sam McCall went under the knife while Lulu Spencer prepped for her own medical ordeal. Laura Collins played detective, grilling Anna Devane about Valentin Cassadine’s whereabouts, a mystery that also piqued Alexis Davis’ interest. Amid the medical emergencies and missing persons cases, Cyrus Renault popped up, injecting a dose of awkward piety into Laura’s day.
The episode also saw some paternity bombshells explode. Sasha Gilmore Corbin finally accepted the DNA results confirming Robert Scorpio as her father, a revelation that didn’t exactly thrill Diane Miller. Sasha’s subsequent confession to Nina Reeves about her not-so-deceased mother, Holly Sutton. Then, Holly herself made a surprise appearance, proposing a shady scheme to Cody Bell, who promptly turned her down. The episode culminated in a tense confrontation between Sasha and Holly, leaving Cody to wonder just what kind of family he’d stumbled into.
