The episode offered a glimpse into how the town is coping (or not coping) with such a significant loss, while also setting the stage for potential future conflicts.
Amidst the shared sorrow, individual struggles took center stage. Lucas, burdened by guilt over his role as Sam’s surgeon, found solace in Maxie’s support. Meanwhile, Drew, sporting a suspiciously bruised face after his altercation with Jason, desperately tried to conceal his injuries from his children, leading Rocco to overhear a conversation that implicated Jason in the attack. This sets up a potential powder keg of family drama down the line.
