On November 20, ABC’s afternoon staple GMA3, offers a blend of country music, consumerism, and couples counseling – well, financial advice, at least.
First up, country star Brett Young will grace the “GMA3” stage, presumably to serenade viewers with his signature blend of heartfelt lyrics and radio-friendly melodies. If you’re a fan, set your DVRs now. If not, well, there’s always Tory Johnson’s “Deals & Steals.” Prepare your wallets, folks, as ABC’s e-commerce editor unleashes a barrage of limited-time offers designed to tempt even the most frugal viewers.
But “GMA3” isn’t stopping at mere entertainment and retail therapy. The show is exploring the often-thorny issue of marital finances. Aja Evans and Jamila Souffrant, authors of, respectively, “Feel-Good Finance” and “Your Journey to Financial Freedom,” will attempt to guide couples toward financial harmony, presumably without resorting to couples therapy themselves.
Finally, for those who prefer investigative tales to retail therapy, journalists Bob Sands and Mike Boettcher will discuss their work on the podcast “Radioactive: The Karen Silkwood Mystery.” Consider it a palate cleanser after the consumerist frenzy of “Deals & Steals.”
“GMA3: What You Need to Know” airs weekdays at 1:00 p.m. on ABC.
