On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, GMA3: What You Need to Know will feature an exclusive interview with disgraced pastor Carl Lentz and his wife, Laura Lentz, conducted by Byron Pitts, co-anchor of Nightline. The interview will air on the ABC program. Pitts is a multiple Emmy Award-winning journalist known for his thoughtful storytelling and in-depth interviews. He has previously reported on national news stories for ABC News and covered the 2016 election. Prior to joining ABC News, he spent 15 years at CBS News, serving as Chief National Correspondent and filing regularly for 60 Minutes.

The show will also include a segment with actress Amandla Stenberg, who will discuss her role in the upcoming Star Wars series The Acolyte. Stenberg, an American actress and singer, rose to prominence with her breakthrough role as Rue in the 2012 film The Hunger Games. She has since starred in various films, including Everything, Everything, The Hate U Give, and Dear Evan Hansen. Stenberg has also been recognized for her outspoken views and activism, particularly towards LGBT youth.

Additionally, actress Nava Mau will be featured on the show. Mau is a filmmaker, actress, and cultural worker known for her work in Mexico City, San Antonio, and Oakland, CA. She wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the short film Waking Hour in 2018, and she will appear as a series regular on the HBO Max series Generation.

The episode will also include cleaning expert Patric Richardson, who will share his tips for removing summer stains, and ABC’s e-commerce editor Tory Johnson will present Deals & Steals.
