On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Good Morning America will feature interviews with actress Amandla Stenberg and author Shaunie Henderson.
Amandla Stenberg, an American actress and singer, will discuss her role in the upcoming Star Wars series The Acolyte. Stenberg, who was named for the Zulu and Xhosa word for “power,” first gained recognition for her role as Rue in the 2012 film The Hunger Games.
She has since appeared in various films, including Everything, Everything, The Hate U Give, and Where Hands Touch. Stenberg is also known for her activism, particularly her support for LGBT youth, and has been recognized as one of Time’s Most Influential Teens in 2015 and 2016.
Shaunie Henderson, a TV personality, entrepreneur, and producer, will be on the show to discuss her inspirational memoir, Undefeated: Changing the Rules and Winning on My Own Terms.
Henderson, known for creating the hit TV show Basketball Wives, opens up about her personal journey, sharing stories of struggles, triumphs, and finding her voice. She offers advice for women, especially those who are partners and parents, navigating their careers and personal lives.
Henderson is also the founder and CEO of Amirah, Inc., a production company focused on diversifying and transforming the entertainment industry by empowering people of color and women.
