The Great British Bake Off returns for its second week, with hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding. Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith set challenging tasks for the bakers, who must bring their skills, creativity, and passion to impress and avoid elimination.
In this episode, the bakers face Biscuit Week, a true test of their precision and creativity. For their Signature challenge, the bakers create delicate and flawless Viennese sandwich biscuits, aiming for the perfect balance of flavours and textures.
The Technical challenge takes a nostalgic turn as they recreate a retro minty family favourite, evoking childhood memories and presenting a unique set of hurdles.
The Showstopper challenge is where the bakers truly express their artistic flair. They craft biscuit puppet theatres, blending comedy and tragedy in a dramatic display of edible art. It’s a tense and revealing episode, not just because of the intricate bakes but also due to the drama and interactions within the tent.
The Great British Bake Off: Biscuit Week airs on Channel 4 on Tuesday, 1 October 2024, at 8:00 pm.
