Hallmark Media announces its entry into the streaming market with the upcoming launch of Hallmark+ in mid-September. The ad-free service promises a unique blend of original content and exclusive benefits for subscribers.
Hallmark+ will showcase a range of new genres and formats, marking a departure from Hallmark’s traditional output. This includes their first holiday-themed limited series, with “Holidazed” and “Mistletoe Murders” leading the way. The streaming service will also feature a reality competition series, “Finding Mr. Christmas.”
A line-up of unscripted series will focus on the themes of heart, home, and community, with appearances from well-known stars. Lacey Chabert, Wes Brown, Ashley Williams, and Luke Macfarlane will bring their charm to shows such as “Celebrations,” “Ready, Set, Glow!,” “Small Town Setup,” and “Home is Where the Heart Is.”
Hallmark+ will also debut the original movie trilogy “Groomsmen” and the scripted series “The Chicken Sisters,” an adaptation of a New York Times best-selling novel. Subscribers will further enjoy exclusive rewards, including monthly coupons for the Hallmark Gold Crown Store, free unlimited eCards, shopping perks, and surprise gifts.
Hallmark+ will be available for $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year, providing subscribers with access to a diverse content library and the aforementioned exclusive benefits.
Mike Perry, president and CEO of Hallmark, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “By intertwining new, rich content experiences with tangible rewards and premium Hallmark gifts, we are delivering a unique, new program that reflects our commitment to spreading joy through our deeply beloved brand touchpoints.”
