HBO has released the official trailer for the upcoming limited series, The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell. The series is a spin-off of Warner Bros.’ recent film, “The Batman,” continuing the epic crime saga.
The eight-episode show will debut on September 19, with episodes airing weekly on HBO and streaming on Max.
Developed by showrunner Lauren LeFranc, The Penguin centers on the character of Oz Cobb, aka “The Penguin,” played by Farrell in the series. The cast also includes Cristin Milioti, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Deirdre O’Connell, among others.
Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, the series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, Craig Zobel, and Bill Carraro. It is produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions, in association with Warner Bros Television and DC Studios.
