The season 2 finale of “Hidden Treasures of the National Trust” takes us to Chirk Castle and Oxburgh Hall, where rare and overlooked artifacts are brought to light. The episode airs on BBC TWO on Friday the 14th of June 2024 at 9:00 pm.

At Chirk Castle, a team of experts examines a very rare full-length portrait of an 18th-century servant, uncovering the story behind the painting and the life of the individual depicted. Such portraits of servants are uncommon, making this discovery particularly intriguing.

The journey then takes us to Oxburgh Hall, located on the edge of the Norfolk fenlands. The portrait, in particular, is an exciting find, as it may offer a glimpse into the hall’s rich historical past.
