ABC’s ‘High Potential’ continues its upward ratings trajectory, becoming the top program of the night in total viewers (6.10 million) for its third episode, surpassing NBC’s “The Voice.”
The freshman drama is building on its impressive week-two growth, becoming one of the few new broadcast dramas, alongside “Empire,” to achieve consecutive viewership increases following its premiere.
With multiplatform viewing factored in, ‘High Potential’ saw further gains, increasing 19% in total viewers (8.74 million) and 17% in adults 18-49 (1.56 rating) compared to its premiere.
While early ratings success doesn’t guarantee long-term viability, ‘High Potential’ is bucking the trend of declining broadcast viewership, at least for now. Whether this momentum can be sustained remains to be seen, especially as the show faces increasing competition in the fall schedule.
