The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris are set to kick off with the Opening Ceremony on Friday, 26 July, and the BBC will bring you all the action. Here’s how you can watch, listen, and follow this spectacular event:
TV, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Sport Online
Clare Balding will preview the upcoming sporting events and host the live coverage of the unique Opening Ceremony, which will take place along the Seine River. More than 10,000 athletes will participate in 329 events across 32 sports.
You can watch live from 5.45 pm on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Sport Online. A signed version will be available on BBC Red Button 1 HD and BBC iPlayer.
Radio and BBC Sounds
Mark Chapman and Kelly Cates will present live from the Opening Ceremony on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds, with commentary by Eleanor Oldroyd and Alistair Bruce-Ball. Tune in from 7 pm on Friday, 26 July.
