ID Renews Lost Women and Feds: True Crime Series from Octavia Spencer; Announces Second Seasons for Both Shows

Lost Women of Highway 20

Investigation Discovery has renewed its partnership with Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer, ordering second seasons of the true crime series Lost Women and Feds.

The next installment of Lost Women, an anthology series, will focus on the brutal murders of two Alaska Native women and the search for their killer. The show, formerly titled Lost Women of Highway 20, aims to highlight important conversations around society’s treatment of women.

Feds, narrated by Spencer, provides an inside look at the FBI, featuring exclusive interviews with agents and detailing high-profile, dangerous, and unusual cases.

Spencer shared her thoughts on the renewals: “Our ongoing partnership with ID and October Films is a collective commitment to shining a spotlight on important true crime stories. A new season of FEDS will continue to bring unparalleled access to the FBI and our next installment of LOST WOMEN will feature an unfolding new case digging into an ongoing crisis facing Indigenous victims, whose cases many times go not only unsolved – but uninvestigated,”

The first seasons of both Lost Women and Feds premiered on Investigation Discovery in November 2023 and are available for streaming on Max.
