In the upcoming episode of “Isle of Wight: Jewel of the South,” viewers will be transported to the charming town of Calbourne, where they will meet Sally Chaucer. As the owner of the oldest working watermill on the island, Sally’s life and livelihood have hit a major roadblock when a crucial part of her mill, the pit wheel, shattered. With this integral component out of commission, Sally’s ability to produce flour has come to a standstill. Now, all eyes are on heritage metal worker Ross Buckley as he takes on the daunting task of repairing and refitting this weighty cast iron wheel.

The allure of the Isle of Wight continues to draw newcomers like Susan McCall, who recently relocated from the mainland to Wroxall in order to work at the esteemed Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary. However, there is still one thing missing for Susan to truly feel at home – her 25 pet sheep. After an arduous journey spanning nearly 150 miles by road and sea, Susan’s beloved animals are on their way to join her on the island. Yet, one can’t help but wonder how their arrival will be received by the resident donkeys at the sanctuary.

For coasteering instructors Chris Mannion and Summer Tucker, it’s an early start as they seize an opportunity presented by a low spring tide in Freshwater Bay. This gives them a chance to explore a trail teeming with enchanting caves and rugged pathways that they can later share with adventurous tourists seeking hidden gems along this picturesque coastline.

Just outside Shanklin, organic farmers Will and Aimee Steward find themselves facing an imminent delivery day. Their task is twofold – not only do they need to gather enough fruits and vegetables to fill 300 boxes for their local customers but Aimee also needs to create and test a new recipe featuring their seasonal produce that can be included with each box. With the assistance of their children, the Steward family has their work cut out for them. Will they be able to complete their tasks and make timely deliveries?

Finally, the episode introduces viewers to Martin Simpson, a renowned fossil hunter on the island who is hot on the trail of a prehistoric giant.
