Jeopardy! Monday July 15, 2024, Recap, Winner and Final Answer

Jeopardy Ken Jennings

In the Monday July 15 episode of Jeopardy!, three contestants displayed their knowledge and quick thinking. They were Brenna Sniatecki, a drama club director from Rochester, New York; James Hayakawa, a non-profit program officer and actor originally from Davis, California; and Isaac Hirsch, an eight-day champion from Burbank, California, with total winnings of $195,389.

The categories for this episode included “I” on History, TV Shows by Character, College in New England, From the Dutch, Good Afternoon, and Extreme Weather. Isaac Hirsch continued his impressive winning streak, maintaining a consistent lead throughout the game.

As the game progressed into Double Jeopardy!, new categories emerged: The World in 1776, Fruits & Vegetables, One-Word Song Titles, Fashion in Books, U.S. Geography, and To the “Nth” Power. Both Brenna Sniatecki and Isaac Hirsch demonstrated their expertise, with Brenna correctly responding to the Daily Double question in The World in 1776. However, her wager wasn’t enough to overtake Isaac’s lead.

Heading into Final Jeopardy!, Isaac maintained his lead with a score of $11,200, followed by Brenna with $10,000 and James with $4,000. The Final Jeopardy! category was Newer Words, and the clue pertained to language accompanying an action. Both Isaac and James provided the correct response, “what is performative?” Isaac’s strategic wager of $8,801 brought his total winnings to $20,001, securing his ninth consecutive victory.

Final scores were Isaac $20,001, James $5,200, Brenna $8,000.
