On Thursday, June 20, 2024, Jimmy Kimmel Live! welcomes musician Jelly Roll and actor and comedian Martin Short, who will be filling in all this week as guest host.

Jelly Roll, an American singer, rapper, and songwriter, joins the show to perform and discuss his recent success. Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, rose to prominence with his singles “Need a Favor” and “Son of a Sinner,” the latter of which won three CMT Music Awards and earned him a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist.

In January 2023, he scored his first number-one song on Country radio with “Son of a Sinner,” which also topped the rock radio charts. Jelly Roll has collaborated with artists like Lil Wyte, Struggle Jennings, and Tech N9ne, and his unique style blends hip-hop, R&B, and classic country influences.

Martin Short, a Canadian-American actor, comedian, and writer, is known for his energetic comedy and memorable characters. He gained recognition for his roles in sketch comedy shows like SCTV and Saturday Night Live, where he created characters like Jiminy Glick and Ed Grimley.

Short has also starred in numerous films, including “Three Amigos,” “Innerspace,” “Father of the Bride,” and “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.” He is currently starring in the Hulu comedy series “Only Murders in the Building” alongside Steve Martin and Selena Gomez.
