Krapopolis: “Krapocalypse” – Tyrannis’s Time-Loop Troubles (S2 E5)

Krapopolis Key Art

Ah, Krapopolis, that mythical ancient Greek city where humans, gods, and monsters coexist in a state of perpetual dysfunction. This week, in “Krapocalypse,” it seems the city is facing some sort of impending doom, and it’s up to Tyrannis, the king/human/general mess, to avert disaster. The catch? He’s trapped in a time loop.

Now, time loops can be tricky things. On the one hand, they offer the opportunity to perfect your soufflé, master the ukulele, or finally figure out the right pickup line to impress Medusa. On the other hand, they can also be incredibly frustrating, especially when you’re trying to prevent the destruction of your city.

One imagines Tyrannis will spend a good chunk of “Krapocalypse” making increasingly poor decisions, only to rewind and try again. Will he manage to break the cycle and save Krapopolis before it becomes, well, Krapocalypse-d? Or will he be doomed to relive the same disastrous day for all eternity? Frankly, either scenario sounds like a typical Tuesday in Krapopolis.
