Lifetime has secured A Carpenter Christmas Romance, starring Sasha Pieterse (Pretty Little Liars) and Mitchell Slaggert (The Sex Lives of College Girls), as part of its holiday programming lineup for It’s a Wonderful Lifetime. This film is penned and executive produced by Sarah Drew, known for her work on A Cowboy Christmas Romance, which became the network’s highest-rated holiday title last year.
The narrative centers around Andrea (Pieterse), a bestselling author who retreats to her family’s farmhouse in Wildwood amid protests from her fans regarding the fate of a much loved character in her upcoming novel. There, she unexpectedly reconnects with her former crush, Seth (Slaggert), an artisanal carpenter aiding in the town’s recovery after a devastating fire. As they collaborate to restore the community’s Christmas spirit, romantic sparks begin to fly.
A Carpenter Christmas Romance joins Lifetime’s festive lineup, which includes previously announced titles like The Holiday Junkie featuring Jennifer Love Hewitt, A Very Merry Beauty Salon with Tia Mowry, and Christmas in the Spotlight starring Jessica Lord. The film is produced by Autumn Federici and Jake Helgren for The Ninth House in association with Apex Content Ventures. Sarah Drew serves as an executive producer alongside Eric Levin, Allie Dvorin, and John Turner for Apex Content Ventures. Helgren directs the film based on Drew’s screenplay.
