Peacock and Sky have shared the first teaser for Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, a five-part series set to premiere January 2, 2025. The drama centers on the aftermath of the 1988 Pan Am Flight 103 bombing, which claimed 270 lives when the plane exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland.

Colin Firth leads the cast as Dr. Jim Swire, whose daughter was one of the victims, and who becomes the spokesperson for the UK victims’ families, pushing for answers and accountability.

The series follows Swire’s relentless pursuit of justice, as he crosses political and geographical boundaries in his quest to uncover the truth behind the bombing. This first teaser highlights Swire’s emotional struggle and the toll his search takes on his personal life, as he deals with a web of conflicting interests and global implications.

With a cast including Catherine McCormack, Sam Troughton, and Rosanna Adams, Lockerbie: A Search for Truth explores not only the global dimensions of the tragedy but the deeply personal cost for those left behind.

Written by David Harrower and directed by Otto Bathurst, the series is a collaboration between Carnival Films and Sky Studios, produced by Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant. The show will be available on Peacock in the U.S. and on Sky Atlantic in the UK, as well as in multiple European territories.
