AMC Networks announced a January 5th premiere date for the second season of “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches” during its New York Comic Con panel.
The panel included a screening of the season two premiere and featured executive producer Mark Johnson, showrunner Esta Spalding, and cast members Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, and Alyssa Jirrels.
The new season sees Rowan (Alexandra Daddario) wrestling with Lasher’s (Jack Huston) ambiguous nature and her own purpose, ultimately facing a family crisis.
Given the mixed reception to the first season, the second season faces the challenge of refining its narrative and fully realizing the potential of the source material.
