Michael Fassbender to Star in Paramount+’s “The Agency”

Michael Fassbender, a two-time Academy Award nominee, is set to star in and executive produce the political espionage thriller series “The Agency.” The Paramount+ original series is an adaptation of the hit French drama series “Le Bureau des Légendes” (“The Bureau” internationally).

Fassbender will take on the role of a CIA agent named Martian, who is forced to leave his undercover life and return to London Station. The character’s dilemma between his duty and his past life, including loved ones, sets the stage for international intrigue. According to the show’s synopsis, “His career, his real identity, and his mission are pitted against his heart, hurling them both into a deadly game.”

“The Agency” boasts an impressive list of executive producers, including George Clooney and Grant Heslov of Smokehouse Pictures, alongside Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios. The series will debut on-demand and via streaming for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan.

Internationally, “The Agency” will be available on Paramount+ in the UK, Canada, Australia, Italy, Germany, Latin America, Brazil, and Japan.
