Mr Bigstuff makes its debut with the first two episodes, introducing us to the quirky world of carpet salesman Glen, played by Ryan Sampson (who also writes the series), and his fiancée, Kirsty (Harriet Webb). Their lives are far from ordinary, with Glen grappling with erectile dysfunction and Kirsty hiding a secret shoplifting habit. However, their seemingly perfect yet mundane life takes an unexpected turn with the arrival of Glen’s brother, Lee, played by none other than Danny Dyer in his first comedy role.
In the first two episodes, we explore the dynamic between the brothers as Lee crashes into their lives, bringing with him a biscuit tin full of their father’s ashes and a past that he’s running from. Lee’s entrance shakes up Glen and Kirsty’s world, adding a dose of chaos and comedy to their otherwise mundane routine.
With the always excellent Ryan Sampson taking on the dual role of writer and star, Mr Bigstuff should deliver a fresh and entertaining perspective on family, relationships, and the challenges of everyday life.
Mr Bigstuff, Series 1, Episode 1 & 2 air on Wednesday, 17 July 2024, on Sky Max & NOW. All episodes will also be available on Now.
